Original Flash Animation and Film Studio VEESH.COM Goes Live

Montreal, QC (PRWEB) June 19, 2006

FOKaL Inc. has just released their brand new website VEESH.COM (http://www.veesh.com) after several years of work, tuning and development. The website features an impressive total of six completed flash films available for immediate viewing that span a variety of genres.

VEESH.COM is designed, owned and operated by life and business partners, Vish and Asia. They both have several years of experience in design, business, online marketing, arts and indy film production.

“Both my partner and I, have always had a huge interest in web and film so it only made sense to create a website that could serve as a creative outpost for our many ideas and artistic interests. This site is in many ways a life-long dream for me. It took some time to gather the right team and resources to make VEESH.COM happen.” says Vish. “We didn’t want to go live with one flash film that would essentially typecast the genre for VEESH.COM. We waited and struggled for a couple of years to produce our current catalog of six very distinguished and varied productions. We also have many more in the works at this very moment.”

Everything available on the website is produced and financed in-house by VEESH.COM. The company commissions and works closely with a group of seasoned artists, animators, writers and designers.

“We hope to re-coup costs and possibly make good with ad revenue, sale of collectibles from our signature online shop (http://www.cafepress.com/veesh), monetary contributions and possible future online syndication. I know many challenges lie ahead and we are confident that our experience, knowledge and tools will make VEESH.COM a success!” states VISH.

The website also offers newsletter subscribers pre-launch screenings of upcoming productions and free downloadable wallpapers in their grabs section.

“From the minute details incorporated into each frame, to the pixel perfection design of the website, VEESH.COM is an amazing dream come true,” said Asia.

VEESH.COM is a fresh Internet destination that is free to access and has something for everyone, including comics, animated cartoons, games and more. Enter the site and be transported to a unique world of digital entertainment. You can play an Interactive drinking game or appreciate a Film-Noir inspired drama titled “Russian Roulette.” You can laugh out loud at the slapstick antics of a Beaver named Bang or get hooked on a cute but scary web series of things that-go-bump-in-the-night titled “Whispers.”

For additional information, contact Vish or visit http://www.veesh.com.

LifeLine Entertainment to Complete Production on a Seven Year-Long Film Project, “11:11;” Original Actors Returning

11:11 Production Still

Huntington Beach, CA (PRWEB) March 17, 2009

LifeLine Entertainment is proud to announce that they are back in production on a feature film they started seven years ago. “11:11″ has been a highly anticipated independent film since its original announcement in 2004. Writer/Director, Rocky Costanzo’s vision of a two-part coming-of-age drama will finally become a reality this month, as the cameras are currently rolling once again in its original setting of Huntington Beach, California. “It’s been a crazy journey,” says Costanzo about the film’s long process. “We weren’t sure if the film was ever going to see the light of day.”

From the beginning, 11:11 was supposed to be shot in two segments. Costanzo wanted two settings; summer and winter. The first act of the film was completed as planned in the summer of 2004. The second and third acts were slated for the winter of 2005. It never happened. The film suffered a financial blow when investors backed out a few weeks before filming the second half. 11:11 was immediately put on hold while things got sorted out. The producers expected this to be a minor setback, however, weeks turned into months and months turned into years. During this period, the filmmakers continued making other films, including “Hallowed” (2005), “Almost Beautiful (2007), and “Amhurst” (2008), however nothing was happening with 11:11. Executive Producer, Roy Thomasson said; “We got so busy working on other films that we sort of put it on the back burner.” Thomasson admits to receiving hundreds of calls and emails regarding the status of 11:11 and not knowing what to tell them. “We’ve never had a film with this much interest. It’s amazing.”

Finally, sometime in December of 2008, Costanzo called a meeting with the producers to discuss 11:11. “It’s time to finish this thing.” Costanzo remarked. To make things fresh and exciting, Costanzo brought to the table a new outline for the film, which could be made with less money, along with a re-imagined storyline that would bring back the original actors from the 2004 shoot, who were then 11 years-old. The new storyline would catch up with them as older teenagers. In addition, there would be an opportunity to attach new talent. The setting of the film would remain in Costanzo’s home town of Huntington Beach, which is also where their production company, LifeLine Entertainment, is located. The original actors were interested, the script was underway and 11:11 was back in-development.

On October 1, 2008, an announcement was made that 11:11 was back in preproduction. The official website was re-launched and included a new teaser trailer. Storyboarding began and casting took place at LifeLine’s studio in Huntington Beach. The five original actors returning are Myles Jeffrey (The Ant Bully, Face/Off, Hoodlum & Son, various network televesion appearances), Darian Weiss (Miracle at Sage Creek, Better Luck Tomorrow, various network television appearances) Rachel Thorp (Thank You for Smoking, Popstar, Keith), Theresa San-Nicholas (From Justin to Kelly: With Love), and Katelyn Ann Clark (The Conrad Boys).

The new supporting cast includes Jose Yenque (Traffic, Price of Glory, The Last Adam), Cameron Bright (Birth, Godsend, Running Scared, Thank You for Smoking), and newcomers, Austin Thomas, Romina Hyland, Alec Hogan and Benjamin Weiss complete the roster of young talent. Actor, Richard Meese, Costanzo’s friend from two of his past films (Return to Innocence, Hallowed) will also make an appearance. The producers are working with a new production crew, with the exception of music composer, Rob Gokee, who scored Costanzo’s previous film, “Amhurst.”

Energized and rejuvenated, the filmmakers are out to make their best film yet. Costanzo’s new vision of 11:11 is an innovative take on the coming-of-age genre and is expected to be full of surprises. The three-act screenplay consists of two completely different storylines that come together in the end. The screenplay is constantly being revised so as to keep it from being revealed. Filming began on February 21, 2009 and as a special thanks to those patiently waiting to see the end result, the producers have set up an interactive social network through “Twitter,” which offers play-by-play updates from the set and allows Q&A opportunities with the filmmakers and stars of the film. There is also an active running blog posted which updates weekly with exclusive photos and small clips from the set. The first set of official production stills are attached to this release. Visit the official website at http://www.1111movie.com for more information. 11:11 is on schedule for a 2010 release.

ABOUT LIFELINE ENTERTAINMENT

Since its inception in 2000, the company has produced five feature-length films, two of which were distributed through its own home video label. Titles, which target niche audiences who appreciate smaller-budget art house films, include Return to Innocence (film noir/court drama), Hallowed (horror), Almost Beautiful (documentary), Amhurst (thriller), and most current, 11:11 (coming-of-age/crime drama)

Original Paintings, Collaborations (watercolor/fiber) and Fine Art Prints by Kathy Deggendorfer.
Event on 2011-06-08 06:00:00
Exhibition: April through Friday, June 10, 2011 Open from 6AM to 9PM Daily

Nationally recognized Central Oregon Artist, Kathy Deggendorfer’s Original Paintings, Collaborations (watercolor/fiber) and Fine Art Prints are featured at the Surrounding Cascades Cafe located on the 2nd floor of the St. Charles Medical Center through June 10 , 2011. The gallery is open daily from 6am to 9pm and the exhibition and sale is open to the public and free to attend.

About Kathy Deggendorfer: Kathy Deggendorfer lives on a cattle and hay ranch just outside of Sisters, Oregon. Inspired by the color, pattern and texture of her surroundings, she creates vibrant and colorful watercolor paintings. Whimsical images of flowers and ranch life fill the paintings with color and life. “Folks tell me they just feel happy when they look at my work– that makes me happy.” Raised in Portland, Oregon, in a clothing manufacturing family, she says ,”Sewing skills skipped a generation with me… but I love fabric and pattern, much like the quilters who live in Sisters. I like to call my creations ‘Painters Quilts.’ I just put my fabrics in with a paintbrush.” (Image Credit: Lynn Woodward)

Kathy has been working on a project about Oregon Specialty Farms and sustainable farm practices. This project takes her out into the fields of Oregon farms to paint and learn about what makes Oregon agricultural practices and people unique. Trips to the cattle ranches of Eastern Oregon and vineyards of the Willamette Valley provide her with plenty of rich and colorful images.  She says it’s mostly an excuse to see some of the prettiest places in Oregon and meet the nicest people.

Kathy’s current work celebrates the diversity of the High Desert.   The charming cabins along the Metolius River at Camp Sherman, the patterns in the water and the verdant foliage streamside are favorite subjects. A trip to Steens Mountain in Southeastern Oregon provided the inspiration for some great new Sage Land images. “It’s amazing how complex and beautiful this landscape can be when you take the time to sit in the sage and paint.”

Kathy’s collaborative work with master quilter, Tonye Belinda Phillips, is fun combination of painted image and textile interpretation. Their two styles and mediums have been the source of some beautiful and unique pieces. Kathy, spinning her story with a paintbrush and Tonye piecing hers together with fabric and thread.

Kathy’s work is collected throughout the Pacific Northwest and reaches out to all corners of the United States, Canada, New Zealand, England and beyond!  Kathy was selected to create the official Oregon 2008 ornament for the White House Christmas Tree.  She has pieces in the permanent collection at Redmond Airport, was the 2007 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show Poster Artist, and has been chosen to create the 2011 Quilt Show poster!

Kathy wrote and illustrated a children’s book last year, “Smells Like Spring” and  also created one for St. Charles Medical Center for children who were patients at the SurgiCenter.  Her work has been translated into clothing and fabric for Columbia Sportswear, you can find it on mugs and purses .  She is proud to announce  a new line of quilting fabric from In The Beginning Fabrics , Seattle Washington.

In 2005, Kathy was awarded ‘Citizen of the Year’ in Sisters Oregon for her contributions to the community and the arts. In 2010 she was appointed by Governor Kulongowski to the Board of the Oregon Cultural Trust.

High Desert Gallery & Custom Framing of Central Oregon is honored to represent Kathy Deggendorfer exclusively in Central Oregon.

J D Smith Fine Art Adds Original Impressionist Prints to Collection

J D Smith Fine Art Adds Original Impressionist Prints to Collection

Portland, OR (PRWEB) November 27, 2009

The collection of J D Smith Fine Art has recently been expanded to include original prints by several masters of French Impressionism. This is a significant development for the gallery as it persistently strives to make high quality works of fine art available to collectors.

French Impressionism has captivated people since it emerged in the mid 1800′s. The continuing interest this movement in art is evidenced by the Impressionist exhibit that opened in October of 2009 at the Tacoma Art Museum in Tacoma, Washington. That show will be followed by another major Impressionist exhibit to open in May of 2010 at the de Young Museum in San Francisco, California. The exhibit at the de Young will include some of the most important Impressionist works in the world, on loan from the Musée d’Orsay in Paris, France.

While they are most well known for their colorful paintings, the Impressionists also produced graphic works, including etchings, lithographs, and wood engravings. (The Tacoma Art Museum’s exhibit includes both oil paintings and graphic works of Impressionists.) J D Smith Fine Art’s recent acquisitions include an etching by Pierre Auguste Renoir and wood engravings by Edouard Manet and Camille Pissarro. In contrast to their oil paintings, which can sell for millions of dollars, Impressionist works on paper are so reasonable they can be purchased by any serious collector. The new additions, now on view at J D Smith Fine Art, complement the gallery’s existing Impressionist-era prints by Mary Cassatt, Edgar Degas, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

J D Smith Fine Art is an Internet-based art gallery specializing in original works and fine art prints by well-known artists of the 19th and 20th centuries. J D Smith Fine Art is located just outside Portland, Oregon, in the community of Happy Valley.
